Family Matters

After recent events involving the loss of life and its effects on those left behind i feel compelled to write about the challenges i face and what keeps me going.. The key word is Family i suppose but i see that the word "family" often refers to relatives and people who are blood related but it is now apparent to me that family can also exist in the workplace with my workplace being a clear example.. Abnoxious and rude, arrogant even?

On a team night out last month in Leicester, i was pleased to have the chance to see the inner city for the first time and experience some of the venues… we went out for good food and drink choosing the ideal day/night that gave us the maximum time to recover- (9 days)… since getting back to our full time training and playing schedule after an international break i did start to think about the common misconceptions about "footballers" and their attitudes.. I do class myself as an easy going guy as do my teammates so i was a little upset when one of them said that i was having an argument...

Whats been going on

 Been somewhat drawn to the medias coverage of quite a few high profile stories recently from Carlos Tevez alleged refusal to come off the bench for Man City, Doctor Conrad Murrays alleged patient negligence , Tiger Woods stealing caddies , oops i mean alleged stealing of caddies. It just seems that we are in a world where anything goes if you put your mind to it.. Firstly, regarding Mr Tevez and his innate ability to fire the ball into the old “onion sack”. The Return

  After a few years now i return with my blog.. Reflections of my day to day life mixed with the lessons learnt along the way.. These pages were originally written by myself from a hotel room in Turkey where i struggled to adapt to the many challenges of life abroad. Having returned to England and got my head back in gear i extend a thank you to the community of followers that built up during the blog’s activity and admit that alot of the advice given from my fellow Turks, Ex-pats and of course my Family was instrumental in me remaining patient in such challenging circumstances.....
