The title of this post doesn't somehow correspond with the weather I'm seeing outside or my impending Marital status however, i can't deny that after featuring in Leicester citys final game of the season i am now fully focussed on the joys of summer/holidays etc..

I managed to play my first match since being injured last year, it was against kettering on a cold night at their non league ground. (rushden and diamonds)- thanks Martin
It was great to put on a Leicester shirt again and I'm really thankful to the Leicester physio and medical staff for working with me so hard during this frustrating period..
The knee held up really well but felt a little stiff at half time which was to be expected..
I have lost a little sharpness but my teammates said they didn't notice anything neither did the coaches so i guess its just a case of me knowing myself that I'm capable...

Light at the end of the tunnel??
I miss the energy and camaraderie of professional football, the team talks and match preparation. The buzz of winning and the regrets that come with anything else, reluctant glances at the 90 minute match clock hoping that the remaining time is on our side.. Questioning the referee in one breath then thanking him in the next. The crunch of a heavy tackle together with my instantaneous recovery often signalled by the pulling up of the socks and a quickly taken free kick or throw in for "i am not hurt, and i won't be overpowered!".. As the football transfer deadline approaches i would like to touch on the effect that this system has on us as professional players..

There are alot of theories about the world ending in 2012 and i feel the best way to deal with it is to carry on as normal.. If these theories are born from rumours then the intent is to cause chaos and after watching the news coverage of the nations rioting and looting over the past few months it serves as a prelude to whats to come if we lose our control, purpose and direction..
